Dissolving pulp is a type of chemical pulp that has been processed to have specific properties: it must dissolve in a solution below 20 degrees Celsius and contain more than 92% (including 92%) insoluble lignin content for alkaline pulp or sulfate wood pulp by weight, or more than 88% (including 88%) insoluble lignin content for sulfite pulp. The ash content must not exceed 0.15% by weight. The cellulose content of this type of pulp is above 90%, with high whiteness, highly uniform polymerization degrees, and special properties that make it suitable for various applications.
